3 Quick Hair Spa Treatments

Today on OiB, I will discuss the three most responsive and quick treatments for hair. I have often received queries from my fans who say that they often don’t have much time to visit salons and spas or that they have to go to many different places and can’t afford to give time for hair. This is why I decided to share the approach I apply, whenever I am in such a situation.

The best way to do this is save time by not going to the salon or spa at all. I have often seen that most of my time is spent looking for my stylist, calling her up, setting an appointment, and then traveling to and from the salon as well. This means that if you spend about 40 minutes on your hair then more than 40 minutes is spent in other ways.

This is why I decided to learn and develop some new skills for quick hair treatments so that I do not need to go to the spa at all. I have developed a few of these quick treatments, but the top 3 of them are given as follows

1. Scalp Massage

There might be many essentials for different hair treatments but this treatment is truly the best of all. This is because it is super easy and works wonders at home too. The hair treatment is started at home while coconut oil or olive oil is also put into it. The next step only requires true head massaging with gentle stroke for just a little amount of time. As a result, the blood circulation is increased and a boost is received by the hair as well.

2. Hair Steaming

This is one of the most important processes that can be used for improving one’s hair. Hair steaming can be obtained after a towel is dipped in warm water and all the extra water is squeezed from it. You can also wrap this towel around your hair so that the oil can reach deep down under into your scalp. This can be done for 5 to 6 minutes so that the maximum effect is reached upon. It leaves hair volumised in a sense too.

3. Hair Washing and Conditioner Treatment

This is the last step of taking quick hair treatments at home. You can shampoo your hair, condition it and wash it thoroughly. One can also apply a paste of beetroot and hibiscus powder on it. Next, the hair mask is also the best way to take care of all nourishment needs. It provides softening and hair texture regulation as well. it provides shine to your hair effectively as well.

However, today this oil mostly comes from Australia where it is extracted from leaves and twigs via steam distillation. The melaluca tree is pretty tall and go on to stand a staggering 98 feet tall.

Traditionally the Easter people used this oil to treat a variety of common problems such as cough, cold, flu, rheumatism and a variety of skin diseases. Natives mostly used to treat severe problems like bronchitis, cystitis or simple get rid of roundworms. What are the benefits we can enjoy from Cajeput Oil in today’s era: In today’s Dane age, cajeput is known to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiparasatic properties. It is commonly used to treat a variety of infections like throat infection, sinus infections and lung infection. Additionally, it is also used to treat cough and problems with intestine.

Homemade Bug Spray Ingredients

 Essential oils: choose from Citronella, Clove, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Cajeput, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Catnip, Lavender, Mint.

 Natural Witch Hazel,

 Distilled or boiled Water,

 Vegetable glycerin (optional)

Instructions
 Fill spray bottle (I used 8 ounce) 1/2 full with distilled or boiled water. Add witch hazel to fill almost to the top.

 Add 30-50 drops of essential oils to desired scent. The more oils you use, the stronger the spray will be. My personal favorite mix is: Rosemary, Clove, Cajeput, Lavender, Cinnamon and Eucalyptus. It works great and smells good too!

Even though Cajeput is very beneficial for you but it is important to take precautionary measures so that you don’t face any problem later. Therefore, it is important that you don’t use Cajeput Oil in high quantity and always use natural, organic oil and stay away from the synthetic and cheap stuff available
in the market.

  • Mix these ingredients in a bowl
  • Apply this mixture i.e. mask on your face and preferably on your neck as well and leave it for half an hour
  • Then rinse with cold water and dry you skin by patting
  • Don’t rub it as your skin is will be soft and may get rashes

Milk contains lactic acid which helps skin exfoliating and preserves the skin’s pH levels. For dry skin issue, milk works like magic because it is an excellent moisturizer. For deep moisturizer, I usually use:

  • Mix a teaspoon or two teaspoons of milk cream with some drops of lemon juice. Rub the mixture on the hands, legs, and other dry skin areas. Leave the mixture for some minutes and then take a shower.
  • Combine three or four tablespoons of flour and some milk cream into a thick paste. Apply the mixture in hands, legs, face, and other dry skin areas and leave the mixture for 15 minutes. I usually rinse the milk mask with lukewarm water and repeat the step once a day.

When it comes to dry skin natural remedies, the best treatment that you can get is oil therapy. Applying oil or essential oil into the dry skin area will help restore the moisture in the skin. Oil therapy is not limited to certain oil selection only; in fact, you can use any oil that is available in the kitchen such as coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, almond oil, and much more. I love applying olive oil or grape seed oil and give light massage to the body and then head for the shower. Heating the oil before applying to the body is also a good choice if you have some more free time. After the shower, I also apply a light moisturizer or sunscreen for sunscreen prevention.

What to avoid?

When having dry skin, there are some points to avoid which are using scented soap and also avoid alcohol and caffeine. Scented soap and detergent are known for having irritant substances which can cause skin dry and irritation. It contains lots of chemical substances compared to the unscented products. In addition, to prevent dry skin, I also limit the alcohol and caffeine consumption because it makes the body dehydration. I drink more plain water to keep the skin healthy and moisturized from within.

Dry skin is indeed annoying; but with the right treatment, you can eliminate it and restore the skin moisture using simple home remedies such as milk and oil therapy.
