What I Do in Order to Relax?

Today on OiB, I’m going to talk about how to relax because that makes you naturally beautiful! There are various ways to relax one’s mind that because they have worked out very well for many people according to studies and surveys.

  • The breath way – Do the one-minute breathing in air and releasing practice or actually straighten your muscles through a little light exercise that makes you feel new.
    Tend to do what makes you happy whether it is housework or something else that makes you feel clean.
  • Journal writing – Maintain your routine if it helps you to know what you have already achieved and what you are capable of. Write what’s grateful. Know what you have been blessed with already to keep your heart at ease and relaxed.
  • Be clear – Steer clear of what you want so you feel active and good to maintain life and feel good at all times as well. [Have you tried Yoga?]
  • Know what can and cannot be controlled – This helps you have control over things so you don’t stress over things that cannot be done.
  • Bedtime routine – Maintain a good bed time routine so you have time for your good sleep as well.

  • Have fun – Play or do something that makes you feel the little joys of life that you are blessed with. Remember, emotions are contagious!
  • Signal ‘fresh’ – Do what you do in the morning like brushing your teeth or washing your face to make your brain signal it’s a start of something. This will make it feel energized but relaxed at the same time.
  • Nature indulgence – Mingle with a sunset or air to feel the calmness being transferred within.

  • Live the present – Learn to know what the moment is so you don’t spend time worrying unnecessarily to lose the moment that won’t come back anyway. Know what’s for you! Like what you know makes you feel right and indulge in it to understand yourself.
  • Connect mind and body – It is important to feel refreshed all the time to activate your nerves to feel excited, fresh and good. This relives them and activates them to feel relaxed. Hence take a 15-minute nap when feeling low.

Pamper yourself with peppermint body wash, rose gels or lavender washes and take out important time for yourself. Rest room break? Employ the rest room to actually rest for a few minutes during a stressfully busy day.

I always wonder how a perfect life would look like, truth is that I may never get to know, I have not met one person who really knows. I am learning to seek the beauty in my imperfections and in all the imperfections around me, I found out that life works better that way.

Perfection vs. Imperfections

Perfection is not real, is just a myth. One of the most futile endeavors in life is to seek to be perfect. I always wanted to be perfect, to be the perfect child, to be the perfect worker, to live in a perfect house, to have a perfect life! Truth is that perfection is a myth, I can never be perfect and you can’t too.

You don’t have to be perfect to be happy.

I love to make the best of what I have and let my imperfections inspire me to be better and to do better.

Imperfections help you to connect better. I have noticed that our imperfection gives us a sense of purpose. It gifts us with a reason to want to be better.

Perfection is overrated. I don’t see any reason I would be happier if I were more perfect. I can still make the best of my life in my state of imperfection.

How to enjoy imperfection

  • I invest in myself instead of complaining about myself. I read books to help me improve my mind. I take care of my body especially my skin; I build strong relationships to improve my social life and emotional ambience.
  • I take care of myself instead of pursuing perfection. I give myself the best skincare I can afford especially with the help of natural and organic products.
  • I may not be perfect, I surely love quality and I don’t just settle down for anything. I always use natural remedies to treat skincare concerns as against artificial cosmetics.
  • I turn my imperfections into inspirations; I don’t allow that to cripple me or my passion for life. I allow them to push me to do more, to become more and to give more.

My little tricks

As imperfect as I am, I decide to bring out my beauty. I choose one thing about me and make the best out of it. It was a decision I took a long time ago and I have never come to regret it. I chose to take care of my skin in the best possible way and to make it as organic as it can be.

This skincare exercises has helped me to look beyond the imperfections. Thanks to organic skincare and natural remedies, I can boast of a clear skin that is truly beautiful and natural. It is my own little rebellion against the myth called perfection.

Of course, I have repented from those thought after I was repeatedly jolted to reality by life’s hard knocks that has come to be my companion from childhood.

To think of avoiding life’s heavy punches is to live in fairytale land. Life is not and will never be a bed of roses for anyone of us. The earlier we realize that, the better for us. This is a basic mindset of every successful person; they are never surprised when challenges show up. They seem to be psychologically, mentally and even physically prepared for it, in fact they unconsciously look forward to it.

Living without expecting challenges is living like a student who is not expecting tests, assignments and examinations; how does he expect to graduate? A life without challenges can never produce a phenomenal champion.

Someone was surprised when I share my reason for exercising every morning, he couldn’t believe that I use it to prepare myself and keep physically and mentally fit to respond to challenges; I consider it to be one of the multifaceted lifestyle commitments of a champion.

I have also come to realize that since the day I started seeing challenges as a welcome development, I have won more battles, solved more problems and acquired more skills than I ever thought I could. The secret is to embrace challenges as a normal part of the process of growth and development.

I consider them my wings for my flight to the top. I see them as stepping stones to greatness. My challenges make it difficult for me to stay in the same position for too long; they keep me focused from slipping into a life of ease that keeps people away from greatness. They help me to always express creativity and genius in my endeavors.

Challenges are like the refining fires that help you to turn your potentials into a tangible success story. They serve as the engine rooms that refine your talents, gifts and tendencies into finished products. I am not trying to say that challenges are ever fun, not at all. Challenges are always bitter and hard.

The good thing about them is that they force us to grow and learn; they force us to find a way out, to invent solutions and to take calculated risks. Challenges are not really designed to finish us or to defeat us, they are designed to improve us and help us to use our gifts and talents better; this is how I have decided to see challenges.

So when life throws its best punches at you, when you get knocked down, knocked over or even completely knocked out; remember that you have the information needed to help you get back to your feet and decide that every challenge only polishes up the champion in you.

Rise from the dust and continue to give life what it deserves; a hard fight!

Why I wanted to know

One of the basic questions I always asked myself back then was if I was pretty enough. This is common with girls and I was not an exception. I asked because I wasn’t confident; I asked because I thought I needed the opinion of others and their approval to be able to lift up my head. The truth is that I didn’t.

What is More Important?

It is more important to know than to feel it. I know!
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I choose not to work myself up just to look pretty for anybody else but for myself. No matter how pretty you look, some people will never be able to see it.
It is a choice! You can choose to be pretty or not. Imagine having the best of skincare available, the best and most fitting of clothes. The choice to be pretty is still yours. You need the attitude; you need the smile and the confidence to present yourself as pretty.

It doesn’t matter what others say. The question is meant for me and the answer is my opinion. I have the right to my own opinion and it should be independent of what people have to say about how pretty I am,
Self-love is vital to inner prettiness.

I needed to learn how to be pretty from inside before I could present myself as pretty. Truth is that we all have these inner prettiness, we just need to tap into it. One of the evidence of self-love is that you stay organic, true to yourself!

 5 Simple Ways to Know

  1. I take good care of myself. I don’t miss a chance to do the best for my figure, my energies and my natural skin. I treat my body with the respect that only pretty people deserve.
  2. I am not waiting for anyone to answer that question for me. It is my question and I choose to give it a big ‘yes, I am pretty’.
  3. I see it in others. People who don’t see themselves as pretty will never see or appreciate it in others. In fact, they try to make light of it. I often search out prettiness and I compliment it. This is one of the ways I let myself know that I know that I am pretty.
  4. I stay natural; I am not pressed to change my looks. I always keep my skincare natural and organic. If I don’t think that I am pretty enough, I would have changes to these easy to purchase chemicals. It is what I see daily. A lot of people use any and all kinds of chemicals just to improve their looks. Only convinced people can go against what is common to stay natural.
  5. I have come to discover that those who are truly pretty are those who use only natural remedies to combat any form of skin irritation or other skincare issues. By way of concluding these thoughts, I am not only pretty, I am incredibly beautiful!
