Safety while using essential oils – Organicisbeautiful.com

Essential oils can be much more powerful than you anticipate. Personally I had many trouble using essential oils, also I have heard from many getting in trouble by not properly using essential oil. Safety should be first priority, while dealing with such hazardous substances. I’ve created this safety guide in order to help you deal with essential oils.

Including myself many have incorporated essential oil in the daily life. They are highly concentrated liquid; it is not carefully used can cause great harm. The essential oil with respect and follow me on this guide on how to safely use essential oils.

  1. Never use any essential oil undiluted.
Many experts believe that, you should only use undiluted essential oil once you have gained enough knowledge on what you’re dealing with. Many people use lavender oil, tea tree oil or any other essential oil without any prior precaution, most of them use undiluted. If abused this can be very harmful for your skin and even may leave a permanent damage, you may not see any damage to soon but in the long run there can be. So just avoid that risk.
  2. Some essential oil may have an allergic reaction to your skin.
So before you try essential oil on your face or your hands, just test it on a small patch of skin. Most preferably on your thighs. Years of dealing with essential oils, I’ve heard many allergic reactions and inflammation to certain oils. Should definitely be sure before you start using it.
  3. Do a proper research before you start using essential oil.
Some essential oils need to be totally avoided by pregnant women and those with problems skin is. Patients suffering from diseases like asthma, epilepsy or other similar condition should also choose essential oils carefully. The proper research and consult with your doctor before you start incorporating essential oil in your daily life.

  4. Do not use essential oils in excess, when it comes to using it the less is more.
Essential oils are extremely concentrated liquid only one or two drops is what all you need. When I started using essential oil, I was using it to much and in no time I was facing the consequences. So using essential oils in excess is a big no!!
  5. Never allow children to use essential oils without their parents knowledge.
As mentioned above if abused essential oil can be quite dangerous. Make sure to keep essential oil from unsafe hands. There have been many cases where children consumed essential oil, you definitely don’t want to end up in such a situation.
  6. Never take essential oils internally without any prior knowledge.
Consult and do a research before you take them internally. Essential oils are highly concentrated is and should not be taken in without any proper understanding of it. Essential oils may be derived from direct from various food products like black pepper, lemon, clove, orange etc but it doesn’t mean that there must be taken internally. I am not saying that you shouldn’t, but you definitely need to do a proper research.
  7. Essential oils can be extremely flammable keep them away from any fire hazards

I think I OrganicIsBeautiful Signaturehave covered enough precautions before you start using essential oil. They are great product to include in your daily life but you definitely need to be careful. If you have any queries, please leave a comment and let me know.

The Best 6 Fennel Seeds Usages for Your Beauty

Today on OiB, I will discuss the importance of fennels seeds to enhance your beauty. Yes, that’s right fennel seeds have a lot of beauty benefits while 8 of them have been given below with 8 incorporated ways later because these have worked out extremely exceptionally in comparison to others.

2

1. Keep Your Skin Beautiful

Easy!

Fennel seeds are very rich in dozens of minerals. They provide iron, copper, selenium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, Vitamin A, C and E besides fiber which makes the skin become beautiful overall.

Note The presence of fiber-rich food in your diet ensures that your body gets more time to absorb the nutrients required for collagen production

2. Antiseptic

They provide anti-septic effects since the skin is nourished with loaded essentials of all time that have made the immune system strong to be weakened.

3. Bring the right amount of Anti-oxidant for your skin

The anti-oxidant factor replenishes the skin whenever anything harmful gets in contact with the skin’s layer or skin’s cells. It neutralizes the bad effect and keeps the skin vibrant.

When it comes to anti-aging ingredients, the research is abundantly clear: Antioxidants reign supreme. Not only do antioxidants combat the free-radical damage that is responsible for the visible (and hidden) signs of aging, they also enhance the effectiveness of sunscreens in preventing sun damage.

Note Those powerful antioxidants are just one of the reasons that studies are revealing this may be another natural ingredient linked to a decreased risk of developing cancer cells.

4. Your skin is damaged? Fennel seeds can also help!

The skin is toned well which is why cell damage is prevented and acne conditions can be treated as well too.

Recall my previous article on the benefit of Argan Oil for your skin, especially when you start loosing the natural elasticity of the skin.

They help you stay away from aging problems like dark to light spots, wrinkles, fine lines etc.

2

5. Give back Your Skin its Natural Glow

The different vitamins help providing a younger looking skin with a great glowing complexion as the skin is soothed and is free of any skin inflammation, irritation or condition too.

6. A tea break? Try Fennel tea !

If Fennel tea is taken on a daily basis, then this can impart a greater and smoother texture to the skin. This Fennel tea can be bought or made very easily as well. It just includes mixing in and blending together to have equal amount of crushed fennel seeds and boiling water made into an effective tea.

When zinc, selenium and calcium combine together at one place, they provide a great combinational cooling effect that balances the oxygen within to provide a healthier skin.

If, like me, you tried over an over again the lemon water, than the homemade tumeric latte, Fennel tea is a fresh and new alternative to adopt and enjoy. Plus, it tastes delicious!

If you’re looking for some other way than Fennel tea to incorporate in your daily beauty regime, then you can do so taking it during meals that uses it or as a mouth freshener many times. Decide the right pea-sized amount that you can intake easily. You can even garnish any kind of salad you like to enjoy well too. It is great for garnishing, where one can consume it without knowing.

It can also be consumed as fennel water, which can be applied after heating tablespoons of fennel seeds into a glass of water at low temperature for about 15 minutes and mixing with a tablespoon of yoghurt to apply for 15 minutes.

You can also drink fennel mixed in water or add it to any of your day infused detox water recipes.

Moreover, one can also prepare a mask by boiling fennel water to 30 minutes and adding spoons of honey and oats each for a 20-minute application. Lastly, even a steam facial can be hanging under a towel for 5 minutes after mixing a spoon of fennel seeds in 1 liter of boiling water,

If you think, you have any other uses of fennel seeds that are even better than these, please enlighten me and other visitors in the comments below.

The Rubber Tree and its The White Gold

It was during my first jungle 50km trail marathon that I discovered my first rubber plantation

It takes about six years for a rubber tree to grow to a point where it’s economical to harvest the sap, which is called latex. The sap from the rubber trees is processed into a wide range of products around the world, although the use of synthetic rubber has resulted in a decline in the natural rubber industry.

2

Where does rubber come from?

Historically speaking, Brazil used to stand as the number one rubber tree producer. It is not the case anymore. This species was native to Brazil, northern Bolivia and eastern Peru. At one point the rubber trade brought in 40% of Brazil export revenue, all from wild trees. What about today?

Rubber is now harvested in Africa, Central and South America as well as Asia, the latter accounting for greater than 90% of the production.

South East Asia Map | Organicisbeautiful
South East Asia Map | Organicisbeautiful

In the early 20th century, the British in Malaysia and the Dutch in Indonesia cleared large areas of rainforest to create rubber plantations.

A bit of history

Indonesia

Before 1945 the former Netherlands East Indies (nowadays Indonesia) was a colony of the Netherlands. It was in 1864 that the first rubber plant was introduced in Indonesia during the Dutch Colonization.

Malaysia

Peninsular Malaysia is among the world’s most important rubber growing areas. Rubber “pokok  getah” is also grown in the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo. Together the 14 states produce almost 20%  of the world’s natural rubber

Thailand

The first rubber tree in Thailand has been planted by a Thai-Chinese investor in 1899.

Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka’s rubber industry began in 1876 with the planting of 1,919 Hevea rubber seedlings in Henarathgoda Gardens in Gampaha.
First rubber plantation in Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, smallholders account for 63 percent of the area planted in rubber tree.

Beginning in the late 1970s, free trade zones were promoted in Sri Lanka as essential to economic development, and in support of the rubber plantation industry.

What does organic mean?

Grown without chemicals, synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Organic helps retain the health of our planet and its people by: providing safe work environments for cotton field workers, eliminating the use of damaging synthetic pesticides ensuring soil fertility is maintained and improved.

Type of products?

Since teh 1950’s, as tire manufacturing becomes more automated, demand for synthetic rubber, which is highly processable and consistent, also increase.

Synthetic rubber is estimated to account for 59.8 percent of consumption and natural
rubber 40.2 percent.
There are 2 interdependent sectors:
The plantation industry, including smallholders, which grows rubber trees and harvests latex that is converted into stable concentrates and raw rubbers.
The rubber products manufacturing industry, which converts raw rubber into value-added finished rubber goods. Some examples of goods:
  • Tyres, tubes
  • Hot water bottles
  • Auto parts
  • Industrial components
  • Gloves, condoms, balloons
  • Boots, shoe soles
  • Jar seals
  • Carpets, mattresses

How natural rubber is made?

All natural rubber originates in the Hevea tree, and it begins its journey when the tree is tappped. Tapped?

Tapping means

to make a cut in the bark of the rubber tree
to harvest the latex.

Latex is harvested by tapping the rubber tree in a manner that does not harm the tree. How?
The trunk of a tree is composed of different layers.
  • The bark is the outside layer that protect the tree, same as your skin protect your body from external attacks. It is about 6mm thick.
  • The cambium is the “blood” of the tree: it is the part that makes the tree grow.
  • The wood is in the center.
For a rubber tree, between the bark and the cambium exists another layer, called lactiferous vessels. This layer contain latex. Voila.
Tapping latex from a rubber tree in Thailand - Organicisbeautiful
Tapping latex from a rubber tree in Thailand.

Some facts:

  • When the cut is badly made touching the cambium, the bark closes up badly. It splits and turns brown.
  • No tapping is made during dry season. Each tree are tapped early morning on a regular and fixed-time basis.
  • After the tree no longer produces latex, it is harvested and its wood is turned into lumber
