Tea tree Essential oil to get rid of acne

There is such a large number of acne fighting cosmetic product out there, yet I prefer natural choices. Safe to use for your skin and body and pretty much as effective, that it really can’t go wrong.

One of my all time favourite to-go acne curing product is Tea Tree Oil. I’ve been using it for a long time and it really works well.

Extracted from from Australia’s tea trees, this oil contains antibacterial, antifungal and germ-free properties making it a great product to fight many skin problems like , bug bites, infections, athlete’s foot and of course, acne.

Tree oil is extracted by steam refining the leaves of the tea tree , which is local to Australia. Using oil against skin problems caused by an excess of oil may seem quite in-appropriate, but according to certain reserched its the best cure. Tree oil is best for fighting acne, but try it somewhere else on your body before yoou apply them on face, because some people have reported skin irritaion and itchiness after using Tea Tree Oil.

Here are the best three methods I use to fight acne, usinng Tea Tree oil.

Spot Treatment

I really hate those single spot pimples that destroy a generally wonderful appearance. As opposed to give your face a full facial, I select this convenient spot treatment.

All you need is some tea tree oil and aloe vera gel. Combine 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil with 9 teaspoons of aloe vera gel. Blend it and keep it in a container. Many people are keeping this container with them, and use it on their spot pimples

I use to apply a tiny amount of cream on the affected area and keep it on for 10-15minutes, this will kill the pimple causing bacteria and allow the pore to heal naturally.

The acne medicine

There’s nothing as remarkable as a decent medicine to overcome your skin problems. It makes your skin feel crisp, clean and keeps it fresh.

To make acne fighting medicinal spray, combine 1 portion of tea tree oil to 9 portions of water in a spray bottle. Shake it well, and then spray it on your face, neck or any body part which is affected by acne.

Like the spot treatment, this blend clears pores by killing the skin acne causing bacteria. It also help to overcome severe inflammation.

The Tea tree Face Mask

If you have severe acne problems, and of there is a severe breakout then tea tree face mask is for you.

To prepare the mask you need, 2 tablespoons of green clay powder, 4 drops of tea tree oil and enough water to transform this into a paste form. Blend this mixture together in a small bowl until it’s smooth. Using clean fingers, apply everywhere all over and neck and let it sit for 20 minutes. The paste will get to be dry in 20 minutes, but don’t wash it off! stay patient. You need to give it time to get absorbed into your skin.

After 30-45 minutes’ flush it off with water and pat dry. This paste can also be used for spot treatment, so don’t throw away the excess, keep it safe in an airtight container. It might come in handy.

If you are using any of the above three methods to cure your acne problem, the result may start appearing in a week. Other than cherishing your skin break-out and pimple free life, your skin will be also scented by the fresh oil fragrance in the tea tree oil.

Tea tree oil may be bit hard to find, but it’s the best natural cure out there if are facing acne problem. Don’t you think it’s worth a try? Don’t you think going all natural is the best way to overcome these skin problems. The above mentioned methods are quite easy, I always use them to get rid of my pimple problem, and I think you should give it a try too.

Find The Right Deodorant for Your Skin

Been using the best, the most powerful or the most scented deodorants but haven’t achieved the purpose? Here’s the prefect deodorant choosing guide revealed!

I tried so many of them but was miserable when it came to wearing a sleeveless shirt. Think, I live in Malaysia, a very tropical country. It is basically summer all year long! (I know you are a bit jealous, and I do not blame you for that 😉 )Hence I feel for you and want to put an end to your misery too! You could now stay sleeveless, strapless or get close anytime you want to! Today, on OiB, I shall also introduce you to one of my very own DIY recipe for a nature inspired deodorant as well.

There are many different types of deodorants available in the market. Some are chemically strong while others are organic in nature. There are also some which provide additional skincare factors such as repairing under arms skin, reducing rashes, irritation, black patches and itchiness. These are carefully formulated skincare deodorants which are very dually beneficial. Organic deodorants also stay long but they cannot mostly preserve your baby skin while people who want to be naturally beautiful, use deodorants that are most inspired by nature.

I have already mentioned here a excellent DIY deodorant a few month back. For more information and alternative, have a look at my benzoin Oil guide.

Deodorants or antiperspirants now control the bacteria or the breaking down of bacteria to reduce or eliminate the smell in addition to overpowering them with their own good fragrance. There are also some highly formulated deodorants that help the skin to recover as well.

The right one to choose should have the following:

  • It is recommended to use a roll-on for greater coverage and longer absorbed protection.
  • Use the ones formulated by doctors
  • Look for certified safe cosmetics seal
  • Choose rose or citrus influenced smells as they are stronger and much more natural
  • Don’t pick brands that list general ‘fragrances’ as ingredient, they are probably hiding hormone-disrupting scents being used.
  • Check for a low skin deep hazard ranking as low as zero
  • Aloe-vera and mineral extracts are additional features you should seek.

Make Your Own

If you think natural deodorants don’t work, then you better try this DIY formula which is a great skincare formula deodorant as well.

⇔ Ingredients:

Here’s what you need:

⇔ Direction:

  1. Take ¼ cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of cornstarch and mix it in a bowl
  2. Next, mix 6 tablespoons of coconut oil in it until they are well mixed and add any oils if you want to.
  3. Lastly, store this in a small jar or any deodorant bottle for use and enjoy your DIY deodorant well!

Now it benefitted my skin as well as reduced the odor thanks to the oil fragrances I added in it. The choice remains on people whether they would want to invest in making one such aluminum free deodorant or if they want to keep using those hard-on-skin deodorants that fly away in just a few minutes.

Eat + Drink + Papaya

Eat + Drink + Party Papaya ! Yes. I did it, I replace Party by Papaya and you will soon understand why. Lets cover first the basic.

The basics

Paw Paw (papaya) is a fruit that grows in tropical areas throughout the world and is easily available here in Malaysia. Most Malaysians enjoy paw paw simply because it is delicious.

Personally, its my favourite snack break! I though I will share with you why you should also add it to your dietary routine, as well as skin care! (Yes).

Papaya derived products are used for a variety of medicinal and therapeutic purposes both by natural health practitioners (Chinese medicine for instance) and in conventional medicine.

Full of Vitamines !

These are just some of the major vitamins and minerals found in large quantities in paw paw:
Dietary fiber
 Folate
Vitamin A, C and E.
Calcium, iron and niacine.

You get it! In short, the benefits of paw paw are simply enormous.

How to Make Papaya Leaf Juice?

Since the papaya leaf juice is quite bitter in taste, it can be combined with other fruit juices.
You can prepare papaya leaf juice at home by following the given steps:

  1. Take several medium sized papay leaves which are washed and partly dried.
  2. Cut them and place them in a sauce pan with around 2 litres of water.
  3. Boil the water and leaves, and skimmer without a lid until the water is reduced to half.
  4. Now strain the liquid and store it in glass containers. It can be refrigerated
and stored for 3 to 4 days. But fresh juice is always preferable.

The juice should be discarded if it becomes cloudy. Alternatively, the juice can be squeezed by
crushing the papaya leaves after removing the stems and other fibrous parts.

NOTE Although this juice is extremely beneficial, it should particularly be avoided by pregnant

women.

Now that we know the basics, lets talk about how beneficial it gets for your skin. 😉

Skin Benefits of Papaya Juice

Papaya fruit is great for your skin and is incorporated in several face packs and skin care products to give you a healthy and glowing skin. Apart from the fruit, papaya leaf juice is
beneficial for the skin in the following ways.

  • Papaya leaf juice has a higher content of vitamins A and C in comparison to the fruit,
    which promote skin health.
  • Papaya leaf juice acts as a skin cleansing agent. This can be attributed to the presence of
karpain compounds that inhibit microorganism and other toxins, thus giving you a clear skin and providing protection against skin problems like pimples, freckles and blemishes.
  • Juice of papaya leaves is effective in treating eczema. You can apply it on your affected areas
    after scrubbing.
  • Fresh papaya leaf juice helps in healing open wounds and sores.

Your Armpits smelling like tropical flowers, Yes please! DIY.

When I started using coconut oil as an occasional deep conditioner for my hair, I also found quite a few sources saying it could be used as a natural deodorant. Nearly all skincare products or beauty products that are typically made with toxic and harmful ingredients can be made using coconut oil. Coconut oil deodorant is just another one to add to the list.

Disclosing today in OiB my personal experience in DIY homemade Deodorant.

So, you know me? I gave it a try, and it worked… kind of. It had to be reapplied later in the day, and didn’t work well in the heat of tropical climat or through a heavy workout. Coconut oil itself was not enought. I desperately wanted another solution, so when I ran out of deodorant over a month ago, I finally made my own.

Choosing Your Essential Oils

You can use whatever blend of essential oils you like in the recipe below, and I suggest putting at least one oil into your mix with antiseptic/antibacterial properties. Here are some natural antibacterial essential oils for you to consider:

lemongrass
lavender
tea tree
rosemary
lemon

Fresh and organically grown lemongrass | www.organicisbeautiful.com

The trick to tinkering with essential oils is knowing their strength. Lemon and lemongrass oils, for example, are very naturally strong. Just a few drops will do the trick in this DIY deodorant recipe, I personally used Tea-tree essential oil.

My advice when getting used to essential oils is to start small. Add a few drops, mix, smell, repeat. You can always add more, but you can’t take away.

DIY Deodorant Recipe

  • Materials & Supplies
  1. Small, wide-mouth glass jar. You need to be able to get your fingers in there, because you apply this with your fingers.
  2. Spoon
  3. 1/4 cup baking soda – Baking soda absorbs moisture, which helps keep you dry.
  4. 10-15 drops essential oil of your choice – See the section above. If you don’t want to tinker, start with 5-8 drops of lavender, depending on how strong you want the scent to be.

  1. Lavender | OrganicIsBeautiful

  • Directions

Simple. You can basically make this DIY deodorant right in your jelly jar. Spoon in the baking soda, add your essential oil, and mix it up well. Voila!

How to Apply Your DIY Deodorant

It’s best to apply this right out of the shower. Give the jar a good shake before opening, then dip clean, dry fingers in, and pat the deodorant onto your pits. I do this over the sink, because it’s a little bit messier than applying stick deodorant. Pat – don’t rub – until the powder is no longer visible on your pits, and you’re good to go.
