How?

Mix and blend all the above ingredients into a blender for a minute with medium strength. You can measure it by yourself to continue blend it or stop it until the mixture is smooth and well mixed. Then, pour it out into a clean bowl and apply directly to your face and neck skin from about fifteen to twenty minutes. I usually clean it after a half our if I have many spare time to spend but then it is all up to you guys. After that, you can clean your face.

  1. Fight your acne with Coriander Paste

For you who recently fight acnes and/ or having blemished skin, you can try this at home easily.

What do you need?

  • 1 TS of fresh lemongrass
  • 2 TS of organic coriander oil
  • 1 TS of chamomile
  • 1 cup of cool water

How?

Mix all the paste ingredients above in a clean blender glass (remember that every tool you use in making organic remedies has to be clean), an blend it with high strength until smooth and create a paste form. Apply the paste to your clean skin for about fifteen to twenty minutes. End by cleansing face thorughly with facial cleanser and that is all.

  1. A blend of Rice and Coriander Face Mask

To boost the benefit of Coriander, I usually mix between rice and Coriander. As it has been proven that rice is rich with anti-aging property and the Coriander oil as well.

What do you need?

  • 2 Teaspoon of Fresh Coriander oil
  • 2 Tablespoon of fresh plain yoghurt
  • 2 Tablespoon of cold aloe vera gel
  • 1 Tablespoon of plain milk powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of rice powder
  • 2 Tablespoon of white kaolin clay

How?

First, clean with water all the ingredients before used. Blend well Coriander oil, plain yoghurt, and aloe vera gel using food processor or juice blender until smooth. You just need to mix them all in only 1 minute, but if you think that the mixture is still less smooth, you can blend it again until smooth. Then, mix the mixture with the plain milk powder, white Kaolin klay and rice powder, stir it well with tool.

Last, apply the mask onto your face and let it dry for about fifteen to twenty minutes. You can read, listen to music or anything you like while waiting. Rinse your face after and use face moisturizer. For additional information, white kaolin clay is very good to absorb all the dirt on your face and leave your skin supple like a baby’s skin.

Healthy Infused Water

All functions of the body require water. It’s the body’s natural purifier, replenisher and hydrator and we need lots of it to keep our bodies functioning properly. The only problem about water is it can get a little boring. And when things get boring, watch out! That’s when we start reaching for sugary drinks. I’m avoiding all that by adding Fruit-Infused Water to my daily routine. And I have to tell you, I am absolutely loving it!

I thought I would share some of the ones I have been drinking.

  • Cucumber, Mint and Lime. Slices of cucumber, slices of half a lime and sprigs of mint mixed together with water. I found this one to have the most flavour compared to others.
  • Cucumber, Lime, Strawberry and Mint. Slices of cucumber, chopped up strawberry, slices of lime and sprigs of mint.So I added strawberry, but it’s worked!
  • Lime, Ginger and Mint. Slices of lime, sprigs of mint and slices of ginger cut up. I added more ginger into this one as I found it less gingery.

  • Lime, Kiwi, Mint and Coconut Water. Slices of lime, kiwi chopped up, sprigs of mint and coconut water. I’m not a big fan of coconut water, but putting a little at the bottom topped up with water is delicious.

The “recipe” is pretty simple. Just place slices/sprigs of your favorite flavors into a pitcher or glass. Fill with water. The longer it sits, the more intense the flavor. Then, just keep refilling with water. Drink the infused water within 2 days to keep the flavors fresh. (And I try to use organic produce whenever possible)

Once you find your favorite flavors, it’s easy to get hooked! If you come to a party at my house, there is a good chance you’ll see a big pitcher of infused water on the drink table. It’s not just tasty, it’s also very pretty to look at.

I love to make a big batch and sip on it all day. Or if I’m out and about I pour some in my reusable water bottle that I always keep with me. It’s a fun way to drink water at work or on the go. So, what are you waiting for? Go get your drink on! You know what I mean…

Here’s to the beginning of summer! Cheers 🙂

Amanda.

Carrot mask organicisbeautiful

3 Easy DIY Carrot Masks You Will Love!

Carrot, Lemon and Olive Oil Face Mask

Step 1: Prepare the mixture

Peel and boil one large carrot until tender (when a fork can easily pierce through it, it’s ready). Mash the carrot with a fork. We want a creamy consistency.

Now, add the following:

  • 1/2 tbsp of Organic Honey.
  • 1/2 tbsp. of Extra virgin olive oil.

NOTE: If your skin is oily, you may omit the extra virgin olive oil.

  • A few drops of organic lemon juice. How many you may ask? Read below 😉

Basically, your skin type will depend on the amount of lemon juice you add in. Because lemon juice is a natural astringent, you should know that the oilier your skin, the more lemon you want in your mask! Simple. ). If you have dry skin, add about 8 drops of lemon and if you have oily skin, add up to 1 tablespoon.

Step 2: Check consistency

The mixture shouldn’t be too clumpy or too runny. If the mix is too thick, you can add in a bit more extra virgin olive oil or water to thin it out. You can add a bit more honey to the mix to give it a thicker, paste-like texture.

Cool down. Let the mixture cool down so that the temperature is comfortable on your skin.

Step 3: Mask time

Let the fun part begins!  Apply the carrot mask onto a clean and bare face, even your neck if you wish, but avoid the eye and mouth area.

Leave it on for 10 -15 minutes and wash it off with warm water afterwards. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer or eye cream.

Carrot and Coconut Oil Face Mask

Step 1: Wash, chop and blend.

Get a large carrot and cut it into 5 or so chunks. Wash them while boiling 3 cups of water in a sauce pan. Now Add carrots, reduce heat to low, cover and steam for 8-10 minutes.

Now you want to get the right texture. How?  First slowly drain water and add carrots to food processor or blender.

Step 2: Add the secret oil.

  • Add 1 tbsp. coconut oil and blend until smooth. Like a yammi puree 😉

Step 3: Pamper your face.

My favourite part. You will see the result straight away! Apply face mask to face, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Allow to set about 15-20 minutes. Don’t forget to wash face with warm water, and gently wipe off any remaining bits with a wash cloth.

NOTE: If you need a moisturizer, apply a little coconut oil or olive oil.

Carrot and Avocado Face Mask

Step1: Peel, boil and drain

Pick 2 or 3 large carrots in your kitchen and slice them into small rounds. Boil the carrots in a small pot until they’re easily pierced with a fork. Drain the water away and pour the cooked carrot slices into a small bowl.

Time to get exciting and … messy! Oops! 😉 Mash the carrots thoroughly with a fork.

Step 2: Get the right mixture

  • 4 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil with the carrots1/2 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture has reached a smooth, creamy consistency.
  • 2-3 spoonfuls of the avocado as you go along as well. If you prefer a slightly different consistency, simply adjust the amount of oil to suit your preference.

Step 3: Be patient

Wait until the mask has cooled sufficiently to apply, and then smooth it onto your skin. Leave it in place for about 10 minutes; rinse it off with warm water and pat your skin dry.

Done!  Source.

How to Pamper Your Feet Naturally?

Have you ever heard that most men are attracted by the way the woman keeps her feet?

In case you’re wondering that’s all false, let me tell you that it is true since all my close male friends have admitted to it.

Today on OiB, we are going to discuss how feet grab others attention instantly and what can be done to get the perfect benefit from it for your personality and feet. Oups!

They believe that a woman who takes care of things as petty as her feet is greatly managed. So why not do the following to pamper one’s feet naturally and have the best of both personality and your feet.

  • Employ a DIY manicure (preparing you a step by step infographic very shortly)
  • Apply moisturizers and wear clean cotton socks
  • Relax your feet through different techniques
  • Maintain your feet through dead skin removal, proper nail clipping and massaging
  • Soften your feet soles naturally.

I recall when I finished my first 50km in the tropical forest of Malaysia last year, my feet hurts so bad! I used a few technics listed below to help recover.

All these tips have greatly helped me to have much better skin on my feet and every pair of shoes, every slipper looks good on my feet after proper care. Even the skin is rejuvenated and flushes its pink color to make my feet look enhanced and naturally blooming. This can be done though the following remedies in particular:

Use Toothpaste

Have your own manicure through doing away with yellow nails. Just dab some whitening toothpaste over your nails and let them sit while you watch one of your favorite episodes.

Use Salt and Oils

You can moisturize your feet through by removing dead skin cells. Use coarse salt and mix it with some vegetable oil which shouldn’t dissolve all the way. Some examples are Coconut oil or Carrot Oil, they both works fine. Rub with a pumice stone and rinse to have your pink heels again.

If you need help figuring out which salt to use, feel free to check the relevant article here.

Soak Techniques

Use water to soak your feet for 10 to 20 minutes or add optional honey with milk. Rinse and apply moisturizer. Alternatively, you can also apply a homemade paste to your skin by adding to 0.2 cup of raw honey, rosemary and peppermint solution. Your feet will naturally absorb the paste during your sleeping or rest time.

Use Cuticle Cream

Trim and clip your toe nails and massage using cuticle creams in a circular motion or even use mayonnaise for the same.

Use Milk

You can soften your soles through adding 0.25 cup milk in some water and soaking them for an hour. While all this can pamper your feet greatly, share with us how your feet changed through these remedies or share some of your own tips with us too.

Milk as well as yogurt is a natural exfoliant and helps smooth dry skin. My long-time dried legs are now gone!
