Coffee in your daily skin care

The first ever post media on OiB a few months back was a cup of coffee. This one. 10 months later, it is with no surprise that coffee becomes an actual topic, not just a cute photo. I love coffee. I always knew it was a plus (not a minus) in any beauty regimen. I already mentioned it here back in July, and even here earlier this year. I though today is the day to get messy. No more sweet talk, ditch the chocoloate and honey. Today, we go raw. Starting by a killer question (suspense mood on):

⇒ How to incorporate Coffee in our daily skincare routine?

You know you can incorporate coffee into your daily skin care , well no right? Even though it’s a widely consumed beverage but it has also got other not so popular benefits. Today we are going to discuss those.

You have heard it right!!! You can use coffee for your daily skin care routine. This is because coffee has got certain essential agents which are beneficial for your skin like the antioxidants, it prevents the aging of your skin. Quite shocking right? Something like coffee which you use to energize yourself in the morning can be used on your skin? To be frank, I was shocked too.

Enough of the blabbering, so let’s see why you should use coffee as your daily skin care product:

Prevents premature aging

Coffee has a rich quantity of anti-oxidants when you consume coffee you take those antioxidants inside, these are the agents that stunt your skin from aging. Antioxidants are greatly natural remedies to combat wrinkles and dryness.

Makes your skin smooth and soft

One of the basics of skincare is removing the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This keeps your skin healthy and fresh. In order to remove dead skin, you need a substance that is rough and strong but not so strong that they may ruin your skin. This is where coffee comes into play, it is a best natural exfoliation agent. It can be used as a natural scrub to get rid of dead skin cells, hence maintain a smooth and soft skin.

Reduces soreness of the skin

Strong antioxidants in coffee have got many anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces puffiness and soreness of the skin. It is the best alternative to harmful cosmetics. Later I’ll tell you how to make a DIY coffee mask help to reduce the soreness of the skin.

Ginger has lots of benefits that have been discovered just through the effective use of
Ayurveda. It is an herb that is native to China and India. It is not even an herb but a root in
actual. The numerous ginger benefits for skin are given as follows

 Burn Support
It is surprising to know that the natural situation of the skin is regained if ginger is
applied directly to the place where the burn has taken place. It also helps to reduce the
pain for the burn. Besides rubbing a fresh ginger slice, one can also apply fresh ginger
juice for the same effect. If it is applied twice or thrice a day, it can help to remove
different scars too.
This takes effect in 6 to 12 weeks while the ginger slice should be fresh every time you
apply it.

 Anti-Aging
Ginger has more than 40 antioxidants in it. This is why it greatly helps in anti-aging. The
toxins are flushed out due to which the body circulation of the blood is improved. This in
turn helps to have improvement in the skin appearance because it provides more
nutrients to the skin. They also prevent damage from different free radicals which is
why the youth of the skin is not lost. The elasticity and firmness is maintained and aging
is slowed down.

 Acne and Spots
Acne and spots or different related blemishes are more like a curse to many people.
Ginger can work wonders here. Ginger is a very powerful antiseptic and cleansing agent.
It helps to keep the skin clear as well as free of any residues. As a result, the skin is
invigorated and the blemishes are also lessened.
Acne-causing bacteria is also killed by ginger which is why it is also known as the best
natural acne-fighting weapon of all. This way the rate of acne formation is also
minimized.

 White Scars
Hyperpigmentation can also be solved with the help of ginger. The white spots are now
no more of a problem at all. The skin becomes lighter or white at some places in
comparison to other patches of the skin. The use of ginger reduces the appearance of
this pigmentation. If you apply a fresh slice of ginger to your skin and leave it on for
some time, then the results can be seen in just 2 weeks.

Top 4 Oils for Acne Skin (Jojoba, tamanu, sesame and argan)

Acne is a problem which befalls many a person. In fact, the majority of people out there are likely to get acne at least once in their lives. Now, of course, you can always head to your local pharmacy and pick up a couple of products to help you tackle the problem. These products do not tend to be all that great, however. This is why it is suggested that you look into natural products, namely oils. These are four of the best oils out there for acne-prone skin at the moment.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil is fantastic for dealing with acne. This is because it can accomplish a number of different things, all of which will help when you are dealing with acne and really want it to be gone sooner as opposed to later:

  • Moisturizer: most cases of acne are down to dry skin, or at least your skin is going to dry out if you have acne. Using jojoba oil, you will be able to inject a touch of moisture into your skin. Straight away, this is going to result in you looking far
  • Spot treatment: you can use the jojoba oil on an individual spot on your face. This is great if your acne is not too intense at the moment.
  • Oil cleansing: yes, it is an oil, but it is a beneficial oil. The jojoba oil will help to break down the other oils on the skin, making it easier for them to remove using other cleaning methods. This means cleaner, less acne-prone skin.

Tamanu Oil

Tamanu Oil is sourced from plants in the south pacific. It actually comes from the seeds found in the fruit of the tree. There are a number of different benefits to using Tamanu oil. Perhaps the biggest benefit is the fact that it acts as an antibiotic. This means that it will kill the bacteria which is known to cause acne. In addition to that, Tamanu oil has the ability to quell any inflammation. This will speed up the process of the acne disappearing. Many people also find that Tamanu oil also has a benefit when it comes to the reduction of appearance in acne scars.

Sesame Oil

The best way to use sesame oil to combat acne is through the process of a skin massage. This will increase circulation in the skin which, ultimately, will push out the bacteria and toxins which cause the acne. Sesame oil is pretty good at this as it acts as a solvent.

It will quickly break up any excess oils or debris on your skin. This makes it quicker for them to be removed, again, speeding up the acne elimination process.

There are a few compounds in argan oil that you should be aware of:

  • Oleic acid: this makes it easier for oil and water to blend together. This means that when you are trying to clear oil from your skin, you will eliminate it faster.
  • Linoleic acid: this reduces inflammation in the skin. This is fantastic if you are dealing with severe acne flare-ups.
  • Polyphenols: this encourages dead skin cells to fall off of the skin and new skin cells to form properly. This will stop the majority of your pores from becoming blocked.
  • Vitamin E and natural antioxidants: help to fight off free radicals on the skin, greatly reducing the chance of acne flare-ups.

Why not check out some of these oils for your skin? Any one of these top 4 oils for acne skin is going to be so much better for your health than any chemical-based product you throw on it. This means that your acne is going to calm down quicker, leading to clearer skin that you can be proud of.
