Coffee in your daily skin care

The first ever post media on OiB a few months back was a cup of coffee. This one. 10 months later, it is with no surprise that coffee becomes an actual topic, not just a cute photo. I love coffee. I always knew it was a plus (not a minus) in any beauty regimen. I already mentioned it here back in July, and even here earlier this year. I though today is the day to get messy. No more sweet talk, ditch the chocoloate and honey. Today, we go raw. Starting by a killer question (suspense mood on):

⇒ How to incorporate Coffee in our daily skincare routine?

You know you can incorporate coffee into your daily skin care , well no right? Even though it’s a widely consumed beverage but it has also got other not so popular benefits. Today we are going to discuss those.

You have heard it right!!! You can use coffee for your daily skin care routine. This is because coffee has got certain essential agents which are beneficial for your skin like the antioxidants, it prevents the aging of your skin. Quite shocking right? Something like coffee which you use to energize yourself in the morning can be used on your skin? To be frank, I was shocked too.

Enough of the blabbering, so let’s see why you should use coffee as your daily skin care product:

Prevents premature aging

Coffee has a rich quantity of anti-oxidants when you consume coffee you take those antioxidants inside, these are the agents that stunt your skin from aging. Antioxidants are greatly natural remedies to combat wrinkles and dryness.

Makes your skin smooth and soft

One of the basics of skincare is removing the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This keeps your skin healthy and fresh. In order to remove dead skin, you need a substance that is rough and strong but not so strong that they may ruin your skin. This is where coffee comes into play, it is a best natural exfoliation agent. It can be used as a natural scrub to get rid of dead skin cells, hence maintain a smooth and soft skin.

Reduces soreness of the skin

Strong antioxidants in coffee have got many anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces puffiness and soreness of the skin. It is the best alternative to harmful cosmetics. Later I’ll tell you how to make a DIY coffee mask help to reduce the soreness of the skin.

Today on OiB I will take about different alternatives to Eating Eggs. If you are a person who just cannot do it with eggs, then this article is truly the best for you. Eggs are no doubt very rich in proteins and they have such power and energy that there is actually no substitute for them. Still I have often been asked how organic can actually be beautiful if one doesn’t want to have eggs.

There is a simple answer to that. What I have found out is that it all takes for you to know what eggs contain. You can then make up for all these things that an egg provides with intakes of different things that are rich in the same. There are three types of people who cannot have eggs

  • People who are allergic to eggs
  • People who just don’t like the smell or taste of Eating Eggs
  • Vegetarians who do not want eggs to constitute their meals

Let me first tell you what eggs contains in them. Eggs are known to be important because they have too many benefits just through one simple egg. You can make up for them by eating multiple things but you can’t find all that in one simple ingredient.

  • Eggs contain lots of proteins
  • They can be had in different quantities and do not result in causing any heart diseases.
  • They have such contents that in fact raise the good cholesterol in the body
  • They are rich in too many antioxidants
  • They have lots of vitamins, minerals and good fats in them
  • Eggs also have iron, phosphorus, selenium and choline which is important for the brain
  • They help to lose weight too

I have substituted all these with different essential ingredients. If you are looking for its substitute in taste, then make sure you try the commercial egg replacer from stores. On the other hand, for gaining health benefits I normally eat the following or replace it when I am in no mood to have an egg.

  • I replace each egg for mashed potatoes if I need to bind a cutlet, loaf or a burger
  • I make crispy tofu to have an egg-less salad
  • If egg is used for adding moisture to any recipe, I add in ¼ cup banana puree for each egg asked for. Even apple sauce, vegan sour cream and pumpkin can be used for the sweetness
  • For baking, I make sure that agar powder is used instead of egg whites or soda is used for cake mixes

For people who need to eat things that can in any way replace some of the health provided by eggs. They can include the following in their diet.  Eating Eggs!

Non - Alcoholic Perfume? | OrganicIsBeautiful

Non-Alcoholic Perfume?

Today, on OiB I will discuss the ever increasing debate of non-alcoholic perfumes. There have various requests that have been asking me for the reality behind them. This is why I thought to finally give it a thought for all my readers out there. There have been various queries about non-alcoholic perfumes. Some ask if it is natural and organic while some want to know the benefits or the features it has to offer. Thus, you shall find all the answers now as I have tried and used the perfume myself to give you the reviews and knowledge about it.

So What Is Non-Alcoholic Perfume?

The primary essential of perfumes is the oil concentration with which it is made. This is also what makes the non-alcoholic perfume different than a normal alcoholic perfume. This oil concentration should be more and more in order to have a good perfume. All good and high quality perfumes have 15 to 30% perfume oil in them. Alcohol is mixed with this perfume to make the smell stronger.

There are higher quantities of alcohol in those perfumes that have a low quantity of perfume oil. But then there can be several issues with these alcoholic perfumes. It is here that the advantages or features of non-alcoholic perfumes come by.

Flowers OrganicIsBeautiful

Features of Non-Alcoholic Perfumes

The different benefits of non-alcoholic perfumes also include benefits for the skin which I have witnessed myself. These are all given as follows

  • These perfumes are not too costly
  • These perfumes do not attract to have stronger smell for the first two hours and then vanish through the next hour (as the alcohol evaporates faster). They remain constant
  • These perfumes have lower risk of being prone to develop skin infection or any skin sensitivity
  • The oil of these perfumes can also sometimes help to have a balanced skincare and fragrance as well
  • Non-alcoholic perfumes are more towards the organic and natural side in comparison

Where Did It Come from?

The actual word perfume is a Latin word called per fumus which means ‘through smoke’. Later on the Romans went on to define perfumes even more while the Persians and Arabs also were partners in the same. Today, perfumes are used in different cultures all over the world. The western society uses it in their own style while the eastern side has its own set of fragrances. Not to forget, the Islamic world also appreciates a person who applies non-alcoholic perfume and smells good most of the time, especially on a Friday.

Different Forms of Non-Alcoholic Perfumes

There are many different forms of these non-alcoholic perfumes. They can be made purely with the help of different essential oils that enhance the skin and bring about lots of fragrance as well. One can even combine different types of oils and apply them to act as a perfume. This is because the oil absorbs within the skin and the fragrance is maintained throughout.

For all your non-alcoholic perfume knowledge, I shall let you know that this is a really good option to go for in comparison. Different oils can be used to treat and maintain the skin besides having the fragrance as well. Let me know if you still have any queries, the comment section is all yours.

Is Your Skin Dry or Just Dehydrated? Don’t Know Well? Know It Now!

Happy Wednesday! It’10.20am here, and I am almost counting the hours to the week end!! 😉

We all have love/hate relation with our skin. Too Oily? Too Dry? It can easu drives anyone crazy! Today on OiB, let’s break the ice and start by the basic shall we?

Our skin condition of being dry or being dehydrated.

Are you not sure of what you actually are having? If yes, then this article is a must read because it helped me to find it out for myself as well. When I knew the difference, I could handle it well already! And, flolks, I made it easy for you and collected those differences below.

In order to know the basic difference between both of them, it is important that we know how both conditions rate or develop. Dry skin can be a common problem and might have normal to serious prolonged problems. On the other hand, dehydrated skin is an issue right from the start and can arise from different situations as well. The actual difference lies here that one is a skin type and the other is a skin condition.

Know Your Own Skin Type | www.OrganicIsBeautiful.com
Know Your Own Skin Type | www.OrganicIsBeautiful.com

A skin type is what anyone is born with. This means anyone can be born with dry skin already which means this is a skin type. On the other hand, dehydrated skin is a skin condition and can happen due to changes and a few factors that have affected the skin to alter it. This also means that while dealing with dehydrated skin can be temporary, dealing with dry skin is constant even though when dehydrated skin is a problem right from the very start.

Dehydrated Skin

  • Dehydrated skin produces a lot of oil
  • It can be tight and dry itself too, besides having flakes
  • Dehydration is a worse condition because it is dry and dehydrated both (dry under, oily above)
  • Dehydrated skin depends upon the weather as well as your hobbies. This includes having a regular sauna, swimming or any other such activity.
  • The oil in dehydrated skin is not consistent as it can be different at different times and conditions.
  • Dehydrated skin condition can happen to anyone independent of their skin type being good, normal or sensitive.
  • Dehydration can also be caused if the wrong products are used for the skin which is why it can happen to anyone using a wrong cream, a wrong beauty care item or even a wrong makeup product. It can also occur by applying something too frequently or using too many products for one thing at the same time too. It can also occur because of lack of water.

Dry skin

  • No oil
  • Is dry and can be loose or tight anything besides not being flaky.
  • Dry skin is a normal condition
  • Dry skin only depends upon the weather and is independent of one’s hobbies whether they are swimming, jumping, stressing etc.
  • The oiliness or dryness is almost consistent all the time.
  • Dry skin belongs to a specific type of skin that one is born with.

The above differences are well enough to distinguish one condition from the other.
