Coffee in your daily skin care

The first ever post media on OiB a few months back was a cup of coffee. This one. 10 months later, it is with no surprise that coffee becomes an actual topic, not just a cute photo. I love coffee. I always knew it was a plus (not a minus) in any beauty regimen. I already mentioned it here back in July, and even here earlier this year. I though today is the day to get messy. No more sweet talk, ditch the chocoloate and honey. Today, we go raw. Starting by a killer question (suspense mood on):

You know you can incorporate coffee into your daily skin care , well no right? Even though it’s a widely consumed beverage but it has also got other not so popular benefits. Today we are going to discuss those.

You have heard it right!!! You can use coffee for your daily skin care routine. This is because coffee has got certain essential agents which are beneficial for your skin like the antioxidants, it prevents the aging of your skin. Quite shocking right? Something like coffee which you use to energize yourself in the morning can be used on your skin? To be frank, I was shocked too.

Enough of the blabbering, so let’s see why you should use coffee as your daily skin care product:

Prevents premature aging

Coffee has a rich quantity of anti-oxidants when you consume coffee you take those antioxidants inside, these are the agents that stunt your skin from aging. Antioxidants are greatly natural remedies to combat wrinkles and dryness.

Makes your skin smooth and soft

One of the basics of skincare is removing the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This keeps your skin healthy and fresh. In order to remove dead skin, you need a substance that is rough and strong but not so strong that they may ruin your skin. This is where coffee comes into play, it is a best natural exfoliation agent. It can be used as a natural scrub to get rid of dead skin cells, hence maintain a smooth and soft skin.

Reduces soreness of the skin

Strong antioxidants in coffee have got many anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces puffiness and soreness of the skin. It is the best alternative to harmful cosmetics. Later I’ll tell you how to make a DIY coffee mask help to reduce the soreness of the skin.

Some DIY coffee recipes

How to make a simple yet effective coffee face scrub at home? Read below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ground coffee
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt. (Preparing an article about what type of salt to use and avoid in skincare, stay tuned). Salt is a natural exfoliant.
  • Few drops of lavender or jasmine oil for scent

Directions:

  1. Add the above ingredients in a small bowl and mix it well. Then a few drops of lavender or jasmine oil for fragrance.
  2. Put the mix in in a sealed container and allow it to cool in your refrigerator
  3. Use this mix and natural DIY coffee scrub, use it at least three or four times per day to get best results.

I usually follow any scrub by a gently mask to rejuvenate my skin. You can try the mask I use and see if it fits you – Comment below to let me know!!

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of ground coffee
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt

Directions:

  1. blend this mix together in a small bowl, then directly apply it on your face.
  2. Keep it on your face for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Clean off the DIY coffee mask with a warm towel.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of ground coffee
  • 1⁄4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1⁄2 cup turbinado raw sugar

Directions:

  1. Quite similar to the scrub before, mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl.
  2. Now use this scrub while bathing, apply it on your hands, legs and your entire body. And let it remain for five minutes, occasionally massaged in a circular motion.
  3. This mix will open your pores and remove any dead skin cells.
  4. Rinse off the scrub and pat dry.

I’m quite sure you are amazed how coffee can be useful for your skin. The above-mentioned DIY techniques really work and I know many would use them. You also give it a try, the results may appear in 2 to 3 weeks and let me know about it.

How to Use Coriander Oil for Skin?

Today on OiB, Coriander Oil will amaze you on how it conjures yourself to be very spotless and smooth!

These are DIY face care using Coriander Oil that you can do in your home in Sunday evening with your girlfriends, perhaps! Enjoy!

  1. DIY Coriander Face Mask for Smooth Skin

With the anti-oxidants benefit inside, now smooth clear skin is not just a dream. Do it yourself Coriander face mask with this simple steps. Check it out!

What do you need?

  • A half cup of raw oatmeal
  • ¼ cup of natural white milk
  • ¼ cup of chopped cucumber
  • 2 TS (teaspoon) of organic coriander oil

How?

Mix and blend all the above ingredients into a blender for a minute with medium strength. You can measure it by yourself to continue blend it or stop it until the mixture is smooth and well mixed. Then, pour it out into a clean bowl and apply directly to your face and neck skin from about fifteen to twenty minutes. I usually clean it after a half our if I have many spare time to spend but then it is all up to you guys. After that, you can clean your face.

  1. Fight your acne with Coriander Paste

For you who recently fight acnes and/ or having blemished skin, you can try this at home easily.

What do you need?

  • 1 TS of fresh lemongrass
  • 2 TS of organic coriander oil
  • 1 TS of chamomile
  • 1 cup of cool water

How?

Mix all the paste ingredients above in a clean blender glass (remember that every tool you use in making organic remedies has to be clean), an blend it with high strength until smooth and create a paste form. Apply the paste to your clean skin for about fifteen to twenty minutes. End by cleansing face thorughly with facial cleanser and that is all.

  1. A blend of Rice and Coriander Face Mask

To boost the benefit of Coriander, I usually mix between rice and Coriander. As it has been proven that rice is rich with anti-aging property and the Coriander oil as well.

What do you need?

  • 2 Teaspoon of Fresh Coriander oil
  • 2 Tablespoon of fresh plain yoghurt
  • 2 Tablespoon of cold aloe vera gel
  • 1 Tablespoon of plain milk powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of rice powder
  • 2 Tablespoon of white kaolin clay

How?

First, clean with water all the ingredients before used. Blend well Coriander oil, plain yoghurt, and aloe vera gel using food processor or juice blender until smooth. You just need to mix them all in only 1 minute, but if you think that the mixture is still less smooth, you can blend it again until smooth. Then, mix the mixture with the plain milk powder, white caolin klay and rice powder, stirr it well with tool. Last, apply the mask onto your face and let it dry for about fifteen to twenty minutes. You can read, listen to music or anything you like while waiting. Rinse your face after and use face mouisturizer. For additional information, white kaolin clay is very good to absorb all the dirt on your face and leave your skin supple like a baby’s skin.

Today on OiB, surprisingly I am going to tell you about the amazing benefits of Mango for our skin. These will be explained clearly for you all who has skin complexion issue. Do not you just eat mango for dessert? No. Check it out below all the benefits.

  1. For amazingly glowing skin

Mango is a very good agent to fight acne, blemished skin, dull skin, and dark spots. It contains Vitamin A and beta-carotene which are good to rejuvenate and glow your skin.

What do you need?

  • 1 mango fruit – chop it into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon of organic honey
  • A little amount of drinking water

How?

  • Blend all the ingredients in food blender until become smooth mixture. If it is too thick and difficult to be blended, you can add a little more amount of drinking water
  • After that, apply it on your face until it dries. Usually, it will dries for about fifteen to twenty minutes
  • Rinse your face with water until clean and feel soft.
  1. Blackheads Remover

To remove blackheads, mango is one of the good agent as I experienced by myself. You can make your own recipe in home by yourself. These are the steps.

What do you need?

  • 1 mango fruit – chop it into small pieces
  • A little amount of drinking water
  • 1 tablespoon of crushed raw almonds

How?

  • Mix all the ingredients well using blender
  • Apply the paste onto your whole face or necessarily on blackheads area
  • Leave it for about fifteen to twenty mnutes until it dries
  • Clean and rub gently the blackheads area in your face. It will not just remove the impurities but also will brighten your face.
  1. Good Anti-Ageing Agent

To have a supple and smooth skin like a baby’s skin, you just need a mango in your larder because mango contains anti-oxidant to fight fast process of skin aging. This is the easy step.

What do you need?

  • 1 mango fruit – chop it into small pieces
  • A little amount of drinking water
  • ¼ cup of plain milk
  • 1 tablespoon of plain yoghurt

How?

  • Mix all the ingredients together until it changes into a form of paste
  • Apply onto clean face until dried then clean your face gently
  • Do it regularly to give the best result of skin complexion

  • Skin of mango
  • 1 teaspoon of condensed plain natural milk cream

How?

  • Easily put the condensed plain natural milk cream on mango skin
  • Rub it onto your face for about five minutes. It is okay then if you want to have a longer masking time

Today on OiB, it is an honor with you all to share about my experience of skin discoloration and stuff! First I am going to tell you about what causes skin decoloration as you all might wonder about. Skin decoloration is caused by melanin as skin’s natural pigmentation that over produce in a certain area of skin. How to control my oily skin?

Who hasn’t faced an oily skin problem? Yes many of us have. A few years back I was also facing oily skin problem. But successfully I overcame it by going all natural. Today I am going to share you the method I opted to control my
oily skin problem.

Yes, I know, oily skin is quite a trouble to deal with. The body produces an excess of skin oil and it accumulates on the skin giving rise to many skin problems like blackheads, whiteheads, pimples skin itchiness etc. Oily your skin is not all that bad but it should not be too much, moderate oily skin have their own advantages like they develop fewer wrinkles, you don’t need to use a moisturizer daily and much more. People suffering  from oily skin conditions tend to have a shiny skin and larger than average pores.

There are many natural ways to overcome oily skin, your these methods are those which I follow and some of them were recommended to me by many natural skin experts.

 NATURAL SKIN RECIPES

 EGG WHITES

Egg whites are great to overcome oily skin, they are rich in vitamin A which help in removing the blemishes, it dries the skin and shrinks the pores. To use egg white to overcome your oily skin problem. Whip one egg in a small bowl and spread it evenly on your face allow the mixture to dry then rinse your face with warm water. Use this method at least three times a week.

You can also add a squeeze of lemon for better results. This method will soak up the excess oil and shrinks the pores on your skin.

 LEMON

Rich in citric acid lemon is a good way to fight oily skin problem. The citric acid In the lemon balance as the pH value of the skin and also helps to overcome the skin discolouration.

To use lemon, it’s very simple. Take about 2 tablespoons of the distilled water in a small bowl and add a squeeze of lemon. Slowly dab this mixture on your face using cotton balls. Since lemon is an acid there are chances that it meant to dry out your skin, so after doing this you have a mild moisturizer. Try to natural in your moisturizer choices you may find many DIY moisturizer in this blog.

 TOMATOES

Similar to lemon the matters are also rich in assets if you feel lemon was too harsh than you should go for tomatoes. Tomatoes and tomato seeds are great for your skin, and I highly recommend them. Rich in vitamin C tomatoes are great for oily acne prone skin.

To get rid of excess oil using tomatoes, just blend want tomato in a blender and slowly massage it on your face for about 15 minutes. Wash your face with cold water and then apply a non-oily natural moisturizer.

 YOGURT

You might have definitely got it, as it is used to remove excess oil. If you’re uncomfortable with lemon or tomatoes then you have another alternative that is the yogurt. Rich in lactic acid your good absorbs the excess oil on your skin and leaves a very bright face.

Today I want to tell you two methods to use yogurt to overcome your oily skin problem.

Take about a tablespoon of plain Yogurt and directly apply it on your face and massage in small circles for about 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Do this at least three or four times a week.

If you want much better results then you can follow this method. In a small bowl take 2 tablespoons of Yogurt, half tablespoon of finely ground oatmeal and a tablespoon of honey. Blend the mixture well. Apply the mixture directly on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes.
